Reading the Consultation documents it appears to be zoned LDR rather than recreational/amenity. We need see it zoned recreational / amenity to ensure it becomes part of network of greenways linking up various parts of the city.
There is also a social aspect to this boreen as it has become a place where residents from Crestwood, Tirellan, Ballinfoile, Coolough and beyond regularly meet while out walking this greenway.
